What CheckCV does with your CV

Plainly, because a CV is not an ordinary upload — it has your name, your address, your phone number and your whole employment history in it.

What is stored

The file you upload, the text extracted from it, and the analysis produced from that text. Nothing else about you is collected — there is no tracking, no analytics and no advertising code on this site. You can check: the page loads no third-party script of any kind.

The one thing that does leave your browser to somebody else is the typeface, which is served by Google Fonts. That request tells Google your IP address, and nothing else — it carries no part of your CV. It buys nothing but the lettering, and could be removed by serving the font from here instead.

Where the analysis happens

On Amazon Bedrock in Frankfurt (eu-central-1), inside the European Union. Your CV is not sent to a provider outside the EU, and it is not used to train anybody's model.

How long it is kept

If you uploaded without an account30 days, then the analysis and the file are deleted automatically.
If you have an accountOne year, and you can delete any analysis yourself at any time, which removes the file too.

Guests get the shorter period on purpose. Without an account there is no way for anyone — including us — to be sure that the person asking is the person who uploaded the file, so we cannot honour a deletion request for it. Data that nobody can reach should not sit around, so it expires quickly instead.

Sharing

An analysis is private to you unless you deliberately mark it public or create a share link. Marking it public shares the assessment — the scores and the advice. It does not publish the document: the CV text and the file itself are never returned to anyone but you, and nobody but you can start an assistant conversation about it.

An analysis has a long, unguessable address of its own. Anyone holding that address can read the assessment — that is what makes a share link work — so treat it as you would any link you would rather not forward.
